Optimal Image Sizes for Social Media: Platform by Platform

Whatever platform you're posting to, make sure your content is appropriately sized. This will showcase your content to it’s maximum potential and make for easier viewing by your audience. Plus, it looks more professional. This especially matters when posting video content. For example, when posting an Instagram reel, make sure its vertical, 1080 x 1920, and takes up the entire space of a smartphone screen.

Here are the optimal image sizes for social media, platform by platform;

• Instagram Portrait: 1080 x 1350

• Instagram Reel: 1080 x 1920

• Facebook Square: 1200 x 1200

• Linkedin Square: 1080 x 1080

• Tik Tok: 1080 x 1920

Pro-tip: Make all Instagram posts Portrait size (1080 x 1350) to take up more of the screen, and therefore more of a users attention.
